At the bustling port of Nansha, Guangzhou, the 2025 Longxue Ethnic Music Festival was held on July 30, transforming this island into a vibrant hub of music, dance, and cultural fusion. This flagship event is part of the Longxue Coastal Tourism Carnival and the "Weekend Concert."
The night was ignited by the fiery group dance "Youth," performed by Guangzhou Shipyard International Ltd. (GSI)'s ethnic minority employees in traditional dress.
A highlight emerged when over 50 children of migrant workers took the stage with a sign language rendition of "Nation".
Home to a diverse community of workers from across China, Longxue Island powers a 20-million-TEU global port and a 40-billion yuan shipbuilding cluster while fostering remarkable ethnic unity.
During the festival, tourists also experienced an immersive cultural market, which featured over 20 co-created ethnic crafts, such as cloisonné, miniature costumes, and local icons like the mud crab and the drilling ship "Mengxiang" (Dream). In addition, tourists could buy durians, cherries, kiwis, and seasonal fruits at the port.
